Quality Assurance
Quality assurance (QA) is a way of preventing mistakes or defects in manufactured products and avoiding problems when delivering solutions or services to customers. In short, QA makes sure you are doing the right things, the right way.
As a costumer you want to make sure the products you are buying are safe and perform according to what the manufacturers promises, not only in terms of electricity generation but noise levels and durability.
The first step is to gather some basic information about the manufacturers and the products, for example, how many products they install in a year and for how long they have been in business. Also, ask manufacturers for references from past customers. Ask the system owners about performance, reliability, and maintenance and repair requirements, and whether the system is meeting their expectations. Also, find out how long the warranty lasts and what it includes. Please click on the links below for more in detail information.
Quality Infrastructure for Small Wind Turbines
The small wind sector also provides consumers with better and more comprehensive ways to assure that a small wind turbine delivers what it is promise in terms of safety, performance, and functionality. During the last years, many small wind turbines have gone through independent testing and certification to meet international and national standards on small wind technology.
Consumers will find products in the market that display a Consumer Label with basic information on performance and noise levels and a complete Certification Certificate. It is highly recommended to understand the differences between them and between the standards available. Please follow the links below for more in detail information.
